Sometimes when you have a large terminal command, you need to change one character in the middle. The only way to do this is hold the back arrow until you reach the character. I was wondering if it was possible to skip words just like in OSX by holding ⌥ ←
The good news is this is possible by setting your keys bindings. Open preferences, select your profile and open the keys section. Now look for the⌥ ← sequence and double click.
Change the action from hex to Send Escape Sequence with the ESC+ value set to b
Do the same for ⌥→ but now set the ESC+ value to f
Thats it! You can now skip words in your iTerm terminal 😃
