Custom battery position for UAir R10 quadcopter

Custom battery position for UAir R10 quadcopter

I’ve been struggling with the battery position for a while. Today I bought some foamboard to move the battery to the top of the R10 quadcopter.

Needed:

  • Small piece of foamboard. At least enough to cover the battery
  • 4x tie-wrap
  • 1 piece of velcro

First cut out a piece of foarmboard which is slightly larger than your battery

Second cut out four small pieces of foarmboard and glue them on the “main” piece as shown. Make sure you leave enough space for the frame.

Now place the foarmboard on top of the frame as shown

Now use the tie-wraps to firmly attach the foamboard to the frame.

I have wrapped two tie-wraps through the frame holes underneath around the “main” foamboard and used two others to fixate them on the frame.

In the two pictures below you see the two tie-wraps, wrapped around the “main” foarmboard. The two others are underneath from the left to the right side of the frame.
