Which multimeter to buy?

February 21st, 2012

Before I could start developing my Arduino projects, I needed a multimeter. There are plenty of them in the market which makes the choice even harder. Luckily Quintin pointed me to the multimeter shootout at EEVBLOG.

The EXTECH EX430

The EXTECH EX330 was one of the multimeters which were sufficient during the test. I decided to buy the EXTECH EX430 since this one had True RMS and a better accuracy. For the complete EXTECH series click here.

The EXTECH EX430 package contains: wires, temperature sensor, handstrap, multimeter and theĀ  manual. The EXTECH EX430 runs on a 9V battery, which is already inserted by the factory.
